Meantime Artist Residency Rece1
6th - 18th April 2010, Meantime, Oxford Passage, off St Margaret's Road , Cheltenham
For this residency, I continued my investigations into the notion of mis-mapping and used a GPS receiver to record the position of the meantime building during a 30 minute period. Within this time, the technology reported that the building had 'moved' and recorded a multitude of locations, indicating shifts of up to 1 metre. I showed this digital disturbance by the use of lines in space, creating a visual 3-D map of the internal fabric of the upper floor using the data collected.
The project was open to the public on Friday 16th April 7 - 9pm and Saturday 17th April 11am - 3pm.
